This is written in plain English. No legalese, no tricks. If something isn't clear, email us and we'll explain it.
Who we are
findoctors.in is a free, community-verified directory of doctors, clinics, and hospitals in India. It is run by Venetra Tech. We have no investors, no advertisers, and no interest in monetising your personal data.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google or GitHub we receive:
- Your name (to display on your account page)
- Your email address — stored as a one-way hash (SHA-256). We cannot read your email, we can only check if it matches.
- Your OAuth provider user ID (e.g. your GitHub user ID)
We do not store your email in plain text. Ever. We do not store your OAuth access token after the login flow completes.
When you use the site we log:
- Which provider contact details you viewed (user ID + provider ID, for abuse prevention)
- Suggestions and edits you submit (these become part of the public directory)
We do not use cookies beyond a single session cookie that keeps you logged in.
What we do NOT collect
- No medical history, symptoms, or health records — ever
- No payment details (UPI donations go directly to our UPI ID, we never see your payment info)
- No location data
- No tracking pixels, no analytics scripts, no third-party trackers
- No advertising identifiers
Provider data
The directory contains information about doctors, clinics, and hospitals sourced from public records and community contributions. Phone numbers are only shown to signed-in users — they are never exposed in page source, API responses, or search results.
If you are a provider and want your information removed or corrected, contact us at the email below. We will act within 7 days.
Community contributions
When you submit a provider suggestion or correction, that information becomes part of the directory once reviewed. Your user ID is stored alongside your contributions internally for abuse prevention — it is never shown publicly.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not share your data with third parties except:
- Google / GitHub — only during the OAuth login flow, as required
- Our hosting provider (server in India) — data is stored on our VPS
- Law enforcement — only if legally required by Indian law
Data retention
- Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity
- If you want your account deleted, email us — we will remove it within 7 days
- Contributions you submitted may remain in the directory even after account deletion, as they are part of the community record
